Ruckomechi Camp

Tucked away in Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park, along the winding course of the Zambezi River, Ruckomechi Camp is the perfect spot for both safari-newbies and seasoned travellers who’d like to experience the area’s rich wildlife in a secluded setting. Mana Pools is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site – and with good reason. In the dry season, animals flock en masse to the banks of these four oxbow pools to quench their thirst, making for one of the most thrilling game-viewing experiences in Africa. Hippo, crocodile, buffalo and more are well represented here. Bonus: you even stand the chance of spotting elephants at your camp.

The camp consists of 10 en-suite Standard, Family and Honeymoon tented suites overlooking the Zambezi River. Each tent has viewing decks and indoor and outdoor showers powered by solar-powered geysers. Wooden walkways lead to the main area which includes a dining room, library, lounge and infinity pool.
