No two Rhino Africa tours are the same. However, we do have popular combinations that our guests use as inspiration to kickstart their planning.
Your tour really depends on who you are, who you’re travelling with, and what everyone wants out of the holiday. For example, there are certain lodges that cater specifically to families with children, whereas couples looking for a romantic safari might want to go somewhere quieter.
However, our favourite destinations to visit in Namibia include:
The best time to plan your Namibia tour is during the country’s drier season, between May and October. We recommend this time to our guests because the game viewing is excellent at this time, the weather is more temperate, and there’s not much rain. Furthermore, malaria risk is at its lowest.
The other months are not off-limits, though. But if you plan your Namibia tour between September and October, you can expect sky-high temperatures, whereas June and June can get very cold.
How much you’ll spend on a Namibia safari tour depends on various factors, such as when you’re travelling, as peak seasons can be more expensive, the duration of your stay, selection of activities, distances between your destinations, and more. However, as a benchmark, you can expect to pay between $100 to $1500 per person per night.
There’s plenty to keep you amused and exploring in Namibia. However, here are some of our favourite activities:
Self-driving is a great way to tour Namibia, as it gives you time to take in all the scenery. However, if you don’t have a lot of time to spend in Namibia or prefer to skip to the end destination, a luxury fly-in safari is an excellent option. Many of the luxury lodges have private landing strips nearby to make your transport a breeze.
Absolutely! Namibia is a well-known safari destination with a twist. With a harsh desert climate, the safaris are even more fascinating as you see how these species have adapted to survive.
Anyone who loves Mother Nature in her rawest form. In particular, safari enthusiasts and wildlife photographers will ooh and aah over the landscapes and wildlife.
Namibia is also an excellent choice for a honeymoon, romantic getaway, or just a digital detox. Families enjoy touring through Namibia because there’s so much to do and many family-friendly luxury lodges and activities.
If you’re coming all the way to Africa, you might as well make the best of it! We usually recommend that our guests pair Namibia with nearby star attractions like Botswana, South Africa, and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or Zambia. However, the possibilities are really endless, and we’ll ensure your itinerary works well and makes sense logistically.
