The charming, simple atmosphere of the Wolwedans Dune Camp and its position right on the edge of a 250m-high dune make it an enticing prospect for the adventurous traveller. It is this atmosphere that sets the camp apart from the rest of the Wolwedans collection: a portfolio of different camping experiences in the middle of the 210,000ha NamibRand Nature Reserve.
Set on the edge of what is possibly the oldest desert in the world, the Namib, the reserve is ripe for exploration. The diversity of this desert landscape is awe-inspiring and will create wonder in the eyes of even the most seasoned traveller. An introduction to the flora and fauna that make up this desert wonder can be experienced on foot, by car and from a hot-air balloon.
The camp is an intimate and tranquil base from which to explore the desert’s delights. The camp’s six en-suite tents are raised on individual wooden decks above the dunes. A main area perched on the side of the dune houses a cosy lounge and a bar ensuring that guest’s experience at the camp is comfortable.
