The Chitwa House

A secluded retreat at Chitwa Chitwa Game Lodge, The Chitwa House, is preferred by those who are travelling with only a few friends or close family and those who may want an exclusive safari experience.

The Chitwa House sits quietly between the thickets and overlooks a large waterhole that attracts a range of animals throughout the day. It has two vast en-suite rooms, each with private decks and outdoor showers. Rooms are joined by a spacious living area which opens out on to a common deck complete with swimming pool. The House can be booked as part of the main lodge accomodations and you share game drives and meal times with the other guests in camp OR you can upgrade to a more exclusive experience, whereby every possible need is met by the addition of a private butler and chef, ensuring fine dining and exquisite service in privacy of the Chitwa House.

This exclusivity translates too, to the safari experience and you would venture out on the twice-daily game drives, now conducted in a private vehicle, immersing yourself in some of the best game-viewing in the northern sector of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. When booked on the more exclusive basis, the privacy of The Chitwa House and drives is enhanced as you are able to enjoy an included cultural experience with a guided village tour by open vehicle at the Dixie Community, approximately half an hour away. You get to set your own pace in this decadent bush retreat.
