The private Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a pioneer in wildlife preservation and one of the most spectacular game-viewing destinations in Kenya. As the only tourist facility in this wildlife mecca owned by the Conservancy itself, Lewa Safari Camp treats visitors to an exclusive and luxurious retreat while allowing them to join a renowned legacy of wildlife conservation.
The camp has the whole eastern half of the Conservancy to itself, giving guests a chance to enjoy an almost private game-viewing experience. Game drives, guided bush walks, and horse or camel rides give guests the opportunity to witness the world’s largest population of the rare Grevy’s zebra, a healthy population of black rhino (which the conservancy protects), as well as elephant, buffalo, and resident predators.
Each one of the 11 open and spacious Safari Tents is covered in thatch and consists of a main bedroom, en-suite bathroom, and a private verandah. The two Family Tents share a verandah and come complete with double and twin beds. The main area has a simple and rustic atmosphere reminiscent of a colonial farmhouse inside which open fireplaces, wooden floors, and comfortable sofas are found.
