On a lovingly restored homestead and reserve some 15 minutes outside of Wellington, guests can be as private or as social as they please at Wild Olive House. This self-contained haven is complete with country charm finishes and a home-away-from-home feel that is sure to suit families and friends.
The reserve itself has plenty of interesting pastimes to offer from mountain biking and nature trails to archery and canoeing. Quaint Riebeek is the nearest settlement while the surrounding Cape Winelands is sure to be a delight for foodies and wine lovers. The area is also well-suited for fishing, birdwatching, photography and relaxing.
Wild Olive House’s two double bedrooms and one single room (bunk beds on request) are complete with crisp cotton bedding. The house also has an open-plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen. Outside, enjoy the pool, garden and verandah or even more privacy in the self-contained Wild Olive Cottage. If guests wish to eat at the main farmhouse, breakfasts are enjoyed in the conservatory beneath the warm gaze of sunlight which is illuminated at night by candles for dinner, adding a decidedly romantic allure.
