The Stiltz perches over the Swakop River mouth, looking out over the Atlantic Ocean and the northern limits of the great sand sea of the Namib Desert. Just a few minutes' walk from Swakopmund, the small and eclectic lodge offers a tranquil and reviving experience in a convenient location.
A short walk from the town centre and a stone’s throw from the sea, The Stiltz is perfectly positioned for you to explore all that this Namibian seaside village has to offer. From desert tours and quad biking to boat cruises and sky-diving, there is never a dull moment in Swakopmund.
The entire lodge is built of wood and raised at least six feet above the swampy marsh of the Swakop River mouth. Though it is a dry riverbed, the mouth is fed by the tide and is a feeding and breeding ground for many species of bird, including pelicans plovers and terns. Each room is a separate unit with a quirky interior, en suite bathroom and private balcony. The rooms are linked by elevated walkways and the main lodge is multi-dimensional wood and glass construction where a hearty breakfast is on offer.
