The Emakoko

The Emakoko is a family-run lodge built only a 45-minute transfer from both of Nairobi’s airports, allowing guests to begin and finish their holiday in nature. Nestled in the slopes of a valley on the Mbagathi River, this beautiful lodge sits on the border of Nairobi’s National Park. In this fantastic alternative to struggling through the hustle and bustle of Kenya’s capital city, guests can enjoy the natural wildlife on their way in and out of the country.

Although one of Kenya’s smaller parks, there is an abundance of wildlife species to see at The Emakoko Lodge. When guests aren’t out on game drive, the beautiful rooms of The Emakoko Lodge is a place they can call home. Five rooms are situated by the main area and a further five positioned on the cliff top enjoy spectacular views overlooking the valley.

There is something for everyone at The Emakoko Lodge. If it is rest you need, relax by the pool to the distant noises of animals going about their business. For the more adventurous, go on a community tour to see the local village or visit the David Sheldrick wildlife trust and the giraffe center in Nairobi for a day out. There is even a chance to go shopping! And for the very adventurous, see the famous Masai Mara or Mt. Kenya from above on a thrilling helicopter flight.
