Shindzela Tented Camp is just as much a luxury bush camp as it is part of the wilderness. Named in the African Shangaan language after the rarely spotted honey badger, the camp emulates this beautiful creature in its rarely found, novel contribution to the safari world.
The authentic camp is set within the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. It is from here that Shindzela brings you some of the best game viewing encounters, exploring the unfenced African wilderness on game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, on foot during walking safari trails and with hide sleepouts. Safari activities are led by professional and knowledgeable guides who harbour an untold passion for their environment.
Shindzela accommodates only 16 guests in eight canvas en-suite safari tents set on wooden decks. The camp is eco-friendly and relies on solar energy and gas for power. Be enthralled by riverbed and waterhole views as you take a dip in the camp’s swimming pool. The central African fireplace in the camp’s main dining/lounge area is the perfect spot for recounting the day’s adventures.
