Translated to ‘the place you don’t want to leave’ in Herero, Onguma Tented Camp will have visitors holding true to its namesake. This elegant camp overlooks a waterhole in the 34,000ha Onguma Game Reserve bordering Etosha National Park. Along with game drives on its own abundantly populated reserve, Onguma also gives guests access to its prolific neighbour, promising a truly remarkable safari experience.
Onguma Game Reserve is home to an array wildlife including black rhino, lion, leopard, and hyena, along with over 300 species of bird – a number sure to excite avid bird-watchers. Embark on a sunset night drive and venture off-road in pursuit of predators stalking their prey. Neighbouring Etosha has four of the Big 5, while the Etosha pan is sure to fascinate photographic enthusiasts.
Onguma Tented Camp is an intimate safari destination with its main building, rim flow pool, and seven tents surrounding a busy waterhole some 60-metres away. Each tent comes with a patio and en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers as well as luxurious baths.
