On the private Onguma Game Reserve, just outside the north-eastern border of Etosha Game Reserve, lies Onguma Camp Kala. The camp is small, promising an exceedingly intimate stay and the perfect destination for guests travelling in small groups with excellent exclusive use rates.
Onguma Game Reserve covers an area of 34,000ha and a variety of ecosystems, attracting over 30 different animal species including an abundance of game such as the rare black rhino, but be warned – the occasional predator may cross your path too. This camp is a birdwatcher's paradise in the summer months, so remember to bring those binoculars when our feathered friends come to stay.
The four thatched Rooms are built treehouse-style on wooden stilts in the tree canopy, with a private deck, canvas lined walls and outside showers bringing guests closer to the Namibian wilderness. The elevated main guest area features a lounge, dining room, interactive kitchenette and a deck boasting magnificent views over one of the most beautiful waterholes on the reserve – somewhere to relax with a sundowner and wait for the wildlife to come to you.
