Notten’s Bush Camp, located in the southern Sabi Sand Game Reserve, is one of the original game lodges in South Africa. It's a small, intimate and family-run camp centred around excellent game-viewing and genuine South African hospitality. The lodge is concentrated on giving guests a true bush experience, with very little electric lighting to highlight Africa's star-studded night skies. Other than excellent game viewing, the reserve is home to spectacular flora.
Game viewing in the private Sabi Sand Reserve is always a thrill – whether you’re on an open-vehicle game drive, roughing it out on the off-road tracks, or taking a leisurely bushwalk through the park. Rangers will guide you, taking you as close as possible to the wildlife roaming the reserve. You'll get to spot the Big 5 and even more elusive creatures such as the African wild dog and the endangered rhino. Cultural tours can also be arranged to the local Shangaan community for guests to learn about their way of life.
The lodge's Private Suites all have en-suite bathrooms, a private balcony, outdoor shower, and overlooks sweeping views of the bush. Artificial lighting is replaced with candles and hurricane lamps, casting the camp in all-natural light. The main lodge is an inviting open-plan thatched house with a lounge that extends to a large deck overlooking a watering hole where animals come for a sip or splash. There's also an onsite 20-meter lap pool with open pavilion and beautiful Notten's Spa allowing you to unwind between game drives. Combine your stay at Sabi Sand Game Reserve with a stopover in Cape Town and Victoria Falls for a full Southern Africa experience.
