Namushasha Lodge is a secluded haven of tranquillity, its elevated position looking through a thick canopy of jackalberry and mangosteen trees, on a quiet oxbow lake in the eastern Caprivi Strip. The lodge is in a prime safari location on the Kwando River between the Bwabwata and Mudumu National Parks.
The Caprivi has enormous tracts of protected wilderness areas and is additionally bound on all sides by some of the best game viewing in southern Africa including the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Linyanti and the game parks around Victoria Falls. Activities at Namushasha Lodge include fishing, sunset river cruises, game drives, a 4km hiking trail, birding, visits to the community craft centre, and cultural interaction with local Caprivians.
The 24 Chalets have private views over the Kwando River which flows into the Linyanti Wetlands, Chobe River, and ultimately the Zambezi River. Features include en suite bathrooms, elegant mosquito drapes over sleigh beds, and granite tiled floors. The main lodge has a pool and sundeck, a lively bar, and a buffet restaurant. The views are either of the river, the game-spattered floodplains or the bird-filled riverine forest.
