Guests should know that elephants have right of way at Nambwa Tented Lodge. This Namibian safari escape can be found unobtrusively settled in a canopy of trees above these large land mammals’ migratory route. The lengthy timber walkways creep around trees to the intimate tented campsites while the surrounds at large can be explored via guided game drives.
This part of the Zambezi is particularly favoured by birdlife, leopard, and, of course, elephants. Guests at Nambwa Tented Lodge are privy to treetop views from the main deck that overlooks the Kwando River floodplain below, a playground for elephant, buffalo, and other game.
There are 10 tented suites decorated to complement the natural environment and guests can lift their canvas walls to remove any separation from the bush. Soak in a bubble bath while being serenaded by the calls of the wild and watch passing elephant herds from the elevated comfort of your private deck. Activities while staying at the camp are extensive, from cruises along the river and dinners beneath the African sky to guided bush walks, bush breakfasts, and cultural village tours.
