Morukuru River House is sheltered by looming trees lit up by lanterns at night, casting golden reflections into the water of the deck’s infinity pool. The house embraces its surroundings in the 75,000ha Madikwe Game Reserve, evident in its seamless incorporation into its environment – down to the floorboards of the viewing deck that have been built around a protruding tree’s trunk.
