Situated in the vast and periodically expanding 40,000ha Balule Nature Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park area uninhibited by dividing fences, Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge combines an emphasis on service with a stunning environment.
Initially an area of several separate fenced game farms, conservation efforts in the 1990s ultimately led landowners to drop the dividing fences and allow game to flow freely. There is now no barrier separating Balule and neighbouring reserves in the region from the renowned Kruger National Park which has allowed the Big 5 to establish themselves alongside others to be found here. Safari activities and bush walks will allow you to closely examine the natural delights of the area which includes 149 mammal species, more than 260 bird species and numerous reptiles and insects.
While engaged in your African adventure you will experience four-star luxury at the lodge where the Rondawels and Family Lodges are styled after typical African dwellings make up the accommodation. Lodge facilities also include numerous serene spots to spend your leisure time and an atmospheric outdoor boma where meals are prepared and enjoyed around the fire.
