Situated on the doorstep of the famed Ngamo Plains in Hwange National Park, the elegant Linkwasha Camp offers fantastic game viewing thanks to its superb location. Enjoying the exclusivity that only a private concession can provide, the camp offers undisturbed views over a magnificent plain and a pan that is well-known for its consistent game year round.
In the winter months, roughly May to August, rains begin to dwindle and the park’s vegetation becomes more sparse – allowing for excellent game viewing as animals are easier to spot. Guests can venture out by safari vehicle or by foot to track lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, spotted hyenas, giraffes, and more. In the summer months on the nearby Ngamo Plains, elephants crowd waterholes while zebras and eland graze on the open plains. Year-round, evening drives assist in nocturnal animal sightings such as leopard, bushbaby, and, if you’re lucky, even pangolins.
Linkwasha Camp has a fresh, open and airy design and is complemented by an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors. A number of en-suite luxury tents and one family tent enjoy spectacular views of the flourishing pan, while the multi-tier main area – comprising a pool, library, and winter lounge with a fireplace – overlook a popular waterhole. Echoing the wide-open vistas that stretch out around it, Linkwasha is an ideal escape from which to observe a continuous parade of Hwange’s prolific wildlife.
