The Kwara concession comprises 175,000ha of magnificent wilderness in the remote northern region of the Okavango Delta and borders Moremi Game Reserve. Opening onto a huge seasonal floodplain, adjacent to permanent water and backed by extensive bush, the rustically traditional Kwara Camp is perfectly placed for a varied and private authentic Delta safari.
At Kwara Camp, guests can enjoy a diverse wildlife experience all year round. Whether gliding along the seasonal waters of the Delta in the silence of a mokoro, visiting the famous Godikwe lagoon, or spending mornings and evenings on game drives to spot the predators that Kwara guides are so adept at tracking down, dull moments are few and far between. Breakfast snacks are served around a fire pit in the morning, nearby to a hide showcasing views of the surrounding areas and a plunge pool offering respite from the heat of the day.
The décor of Kwara pays homage to the authentic African style and has nine luxury canvas tents. Each tent has a spacious deck overlooking the lagoon, an ensuite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers and a gorgeous bath – all of which have views out to the floodplains. There is a ceiling fan in the room and mosquito nets around the beds.
