Kasaka River Lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, where it meanders along the border between northern Botswana and Zambia. This short stretch is the only area where the river is flanked on both sides by two national parks – the Lower Zambezi National Park and the renowned Mana Pools National Park.
The river draws wildlife from the neighbouring reserves to its life-sustaining waters – elephants wade into the water, while herds of buffalo line-up on the banks to drink. Game-viewing takes place in safari vehicles in the Lower Zambezi National Park or on a boat along the river. Engage in a tug-of-war with the stubborn tiger fish or opt for a gentle paddle down river.
Delight your senses with an early dinner at the dining area beneath the tamarind trees, before retiring to one of 8 Classic Tents or the luxury Hippo Pod. The Classic Tents are split with one side fronted by manicured green lawns, and the other overgrown with natural vegetation. The Wild Mango Honeymoon Suite comes complete with a four-poster bed and open-air stone bath, while the Hippo Pod’s two bedrooms are ideal for families.
