Jock Safari Lodge incorporates the romance and elegance of a bygone era and reflects the indigenous Zulu and Shangaan cultures in its unique style. Jock Safari Lodge was the first private lodge to be granted a concession in the Kruger National Park. Jock’s offers plenty of ways to explore the surrounding African wilderness: morning and evening game drives, walking safaris, bird-watching and even frogging safaris are offered.
Try your hand at golf at the nearby golf range or venture on a cultural tour of the heritage site, Pilgrim's Rest, an old mining town nearby. Back at the hotel, lounge by the pool and absorb the sounds of the wilderness from the deck of the lodge. Children are catered to with their own programme of activities tailored to their energy levels and interests.
Each of the lodge's rooms are named after places of interest in the story of "Jock of the Bushveld" and come with their own personal sala (thatched viewing deck), plunge pool, Victorian ball-and-claw bath, his and hers vanities and an outdoor shower. The suites are fully equipped with five-star amenities such as air conditioning, fans, tea-and-coffee-making facilities, minibar and a safe. The head chef and passionate team conjure up dishes of legendary proportions, allowing your taste buds to follow their own African journey.
