Deep in the north-eastern region of the Pilanesberg National Park, an ancient amphitheatre is carved into the volcanic landscape and covered in a lush carpet of riverine forest. Scattered throughout this natural auditorium are the suites of the five-star Ivory Tree Game Lodge; one of South Africa’s largest private game lodges.
The Pilanesberg National Park is known for its unique position in the transition zone between the dry Kalahari and wetter Lowveld, resulting in a unique confluence of wildlife and vegetation. Spy brown hyena, prancing springbok and impala on daily safaris in 10-seater open vehicles. Take to the skies in a hot air balloon for a different perspective of the unique volcanic terrain.
Choose from 60 tastefully decorated Standard Rooms, one Family Suite, four Luxury Suites and the exclusive Executive Suite. Along with the Executive Suite, three of the Luxury Suites boast private lounges and plunge pools. The central areas of the lodge are designed to take in as much of the impressive views of the surrounding amphitheatre as possible and include a pool, bar, conference area and dining room.
