The Giraffe Manor in the Langata suburb on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya is an elegant and exclusive boutique hotel which has gained worldwide acclaim thanks to its resident herd of endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. The property is surrounded by 56 hectares of indigenous forest housing a variety of wildlife.
Feed a giraffe, stroke a giraffe, have your breakfast eaten by a giraffe, or just watch these majestic animals wandering around the manor at will. You can visit the AFEW Giraffe Centre to learn more about this rare species or take a guided walk around the sanctuary. Other activities include sightseeing trips to local places of interest such as the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (where guests can learn more about elephants or even adopt one), the Karen Blixen Museum, and the innovative craft complex of Marula Studios.
The manor is an authentic brick building set among lush gardens. There are 12 fully furnished en-suite Manor House and Garden Manor Rooms varying in set-up to accommodate couples and families alike. Each room has its own personal style with elegant furnishings, art-deco features and four-poster beds.
