Deka Camp is situated in the far northwest of Hwange National Park, a highly remote, eerily beautiful part of Zimbabwe.
This broad, flat, tree-dappled area is unique for its consistent terrain and utter isolation. The activities on offer include game drives, walking safaris and night drives in the camp’s concession and further afield into the national park. The camp strikes just the right note for a safari: it's luxurious without being over the top, and cosy without being too confining. The park itself is also well-known for its elephant populations, lions, and big-sky views.
The eight luxury tents have thatched roofs and are nestled on a small hill overlooking the Deka seeps, one of the only permanent water sources for miles around. The tents are simple and comfortable. Inside, you'll find a double bed, a tea and coffee area and a writing desk. The porch out front is a private seat to the goings-on of the bush theatre.
