Canyon Village

In the cradle of a sweeping rock face in Gondwana Canyon Park, Canyon Village is masked in yellow-flowered quiver trees, rugged landscape, extraordinary rock formations and fascinating Nama culture. Hundreds of years of history welcomes you with luggage transport in ox-drawn carts, traditional Nama dress, and Namibian murals of times gone by.

This southern Namibian sphere holds no shortage of enthralling landscape through which to voyage and explore. The renowned Fish River Canyon is a mere 20km away, with guided excursions and three to four-day hiking trails through the millennia-old gorge carvings. View the animals on the plains on 4x4 driving routes, and gain perspective of Gondwana Canyon Park from the rocky heights near the lodge – especially spectacular at sunset. 

Forty-two stone-and-thatch chalets are laid out in a horseshoe design around an inviting thatched central area, set between massive granite boulders. This central bougainvillaea spread is comprised of a restaurant, coffee shop and rustic bar, lounge and reception – decorated by Namibian artists.
