The Okavango Delta is the only one of its kind in the Kalahari. At the heart of this desert paradise, Belmond Eagle Island Lodge stands witness to the untamed wild surrounding it. The Okavango landscape is forever changing and evolving with lagoons, channels and floodplains coming and going as they please. And amid this constantly shifting landscape, an overwhelming variety of animals, plants, birds and fish have made their homes – and hunting grounds.

From game drives and nature walks to mokoro and helicopter safaris, there’s definitely something for everyone. Bird-watching is also a popular activity, with many interesting species to observe including eagles, carmine bee-eaters, fishing owls and the endangered wattled crane.

The lodge’s 12 Deluxe Tented Rooms are all set on raised platforms with thatched roofing and private plunge pools. Each room features a luxurious bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, and windows overlooking the Delta. Other amenities include air-conditioning, a mini-bar, outdoor shower, tea/coffee-making facilities and a reading/relaxation nook.
