A born and bred Capetonian, Barry's most memorable adventure was running the New York Marathon, which he believes taught him to embrace the magic of the journey. For Barry, or Bazza, Cape Town holds his heart, and yet, he's drawn to Tanzania for its air of tranquillity. Not surprisingly, his spirit animal is a cat, as he relishes the idea of basking in warm sunbeams, quietly observing the world around him. Having mastered the art of cooking spaghetti bolognaise, when he's not cooking – or leading and inspiring his team to new heights – he enjoys a glass of G&T while savouring the beauty of the Mother City.
