In Northern Laikipia in Kenya spans the 23,000ha ranch and wildlife conservancy, Loisaba. Home to a large variety of wildlife and situated on the edge of one of Kenya’s elephant corridors, Loisaba is an eco-tourism destination that prioritises conservation.
Enjoy bush walks, horse riding, camel rides, mountain biking, and fishing or head out to the Samburu village for a more cultural experience. Visitors can learn about the Loisaba anti-poaching team and their two sniffer dogs and can also explore the conservancy on a game drive. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, wild dogs, giraffe, the endangered Grevy’s zebra, the greater kudu and big cats. Loisaba has over 260 species of birds and 50 species of mammal.
Stay in one of the 12 tents at the Loisaba Tented Camp. Six tents are en-suite; three of these have double beds and three have convertible twin/doubles. There are also three Family Combination options that include two en-suite tents adjoined by a walkway. Enjoy delicious food at the camp’s main area and relax in the beautiful infinity pool while admiring the view.
