Settled in the heart of Katavi National Park lies Katavi Wildlife Camp, a seasonal safari camp running from 1 June until February when the floodplains are more lush. Reminisce about a bygone era with classic tents and an abundant wildlife experience.
Embark on a series of game drives through the wilderness with expert guides and trackers from the local community. If you opt to venture further out you can delight in a special picnic lunch on “Paradise” plain where an intimate experience awaits you. Back at the camp be enthralled by colourful birdlife, spy crocodiles, lions and zebras or choose to stargaze from the camp’s main deck.
Stay in one of six Meru-style tents which are each en-suite and standing on raised wooden platforms. As the camp is unfenced, there are friendly escorts that take you back to your accommodation at night after meals or drinks. Relish African cuisine al fresco or in the dining area where the culinary team also serves drinks at the on-site bar.
