Hyena Pan Tented Camp can be found in a 350,000ha private concession in the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bordered by Moremi and Chobe national parks to the south and east respectively and 12km away from the Khwai River, the camp is the perfect base from which to explore northern Botswana.
Protected beneath cathedral mopane forest, the camp overlooks the Mopane Pan which has a perennial water supply attracting hippo, elephant, buffalo and an array of birds. The camp boasts incredible wildlife sightings through their underground hide 10m away from a private waterhole along with daily game drives, a waterhole lit at night, and semi-thatched, five-metre elevated platform hides.
The camp’s eight canvassed tents are fitted with twin-size beds, solar power, with gas-generated showers and en-suite bathrooms. Indulge in breakfast, lunch and three-course dinners in the spacious dining room and enjoy afternoon tea served on the game viewing decks. Wind down in one of two lounges, on the sundecks by the pool or in their open-air boma overlooking the waterhole. Bid farewell to the day around the campfire, sundowner in hand.
