Chamilandu

Under a grove of ebony trees and by the rippling waters of the Luangwa River sits Chamilandu Bushcamp. Located in the southern-most part of the South Luangwa National Park, guests have the opportunity to witness wildlife in their natural habitat from the comfort of their treetop chalet.

Informative daytime and evening game drives as well as exciting guided bush walks are a must. Although children under the age of 12 are unable to join on bush walks, your hosts will happily take them on a private game drive tailored just for them. A secluded hide provides views of a lagoon behind camp and is the perfect place to have lunch or relax in a hammock to the soundtrack of nature.

Three thatched, stilted and tastefully furnished treehouse-style chalets are the accommodation of choice. Sleeping just six in total, Chamilandu exudes exclusivity. The word, ‘treehouse’, brings certain images to mind but don’t worry, each is luxurious as the next with an en-suite bathroom with exquisite bird’s eye views. A thatched bar, lounge and dining area is an ideal area to relax after a sensational day on safari.
