Resting near the banks of the Luangwa River and overlooking three watering holes, Bilimungwe Bushcamp is a meeting of old-world bushcamp charm and modern-day refinement. Found in one of Zambia’s most idyllic wildlife sanctuaries, South Luangwa National Park, guests can wile away their days on leisurely safaris and retreat to the opulent comfort of the lodge at the end of day.
The park’s extensive miombo woodlands contrast greatly to its savannah grassland, intersected by the life-giving Luangwa River. The park is host to a plethora of wildlife including four of the Big 5. An international airport can be found near the park’s main settlement, Mfuwe, making it easily accessible.
Handmade furniture and African textiles adorn the camp’s four raised thatched rooms. Open-air showers allow guests to feel at one with the bush, while the private deck can be used for game-viewing. Two of the rooms have twin beds while the other two have king size beds. Guests can enjoy morning and evening game drives, ensuring that all manner of wildlife can be seen, as well as intimate walking safaris.
